About Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University Journal
Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University Journal (Pt DUMHSAUJ) welcomes original research, reviews, case reports, and scholarly articles in the fields of modern medicine, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), Dental Sciences, Public health, Nursing and allied health sciences.
Scope of the Journal:
Submissions must align with the journal’s aim to promote interdisciplinary research and academic discourse in both modern and traditional systems of medicine, including:
- Medical and dental sciences
- AYUSH systems
- Nursing and allied health sciences
- Public health and epidemiology
- Medical education and health policy
Types of Articles Accepted
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Case Reports / Case Series
- Short Communications
- Letters to the Editor
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be submitted in English and structured as follows:
A. Title Page
- Title of the article
- Author(s) full name(s) and affiliations
- Corresponding author’s contact details
- ORCID IDs (if available)
B. Abstract
- 250–300 words
- Structured (for original research): Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
- 3–6 keywords
C. Main Text
For original articles:
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
For other article types, appropriate headings may be used.
D. References
- Vancouver style
- Ensure all references are cited in the text and vice versa
E. Tables and Figures
- Submit tables and figures in editable formats (e.g., Word or Excel)
- Captions must be provided for each
Ethical Considerations
Studies involving human or animal subjects must include ethical clearance and informed consent.
- IEC Certificate should be enclosed.
- IEC Certificate should include IEC number, name of ethical committee, approval number and date.
- If ethical approval is not required or exempted, an undertaking has to be submitted.
- CTRI number must be mentioned if applicable.
Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
Plagiarism in any form will lead to rejection. Manuscript will be checked by DrillBit/Turnitin Software and similarity up to 10% will be allowed.

Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal's official submission

Peer Review
All articles undergo a double-blind peer review. The process may take 4–8 weeks.
Authors will be notified of decisions and may be required to revise and resubmit.

- Author(s) Name: Times New Roman, Bold, 12 font size
- Affiliation: Times New Roman, Normal, 9 font size
- Main Text: Times New Roman, Normal, 10 font size
- Heading: Times New Roman, Bold, 12 font size
- Sub-heading: Times New Roman, Bold, 10 font size
- Sub Sub-heading: Times New Roman, Normal, 10 font size
- Keywords, Tables, Figure Captions, References and Acknowledgement: Times New Roman, Normal, 9 font size
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margin: 1 inch on all sides
